Gap Type Conductor

What Are GaP Conductors?

Gap conductors are used in ultra-high voltage and long-span applications. They consist of a heat-resistant steel core and trapezoidal aluminum strands, separated by high-temperature grease. This design reduces thermal sag, making GaP conductors ideal for power corridors with limited right-of-way or expansion needs.
